Single PlyAll green roofs have the same basic structure: a waterproofing membrane, soil, and vegetation. Green roofs can be constructed on both pitched and flat roofs, and with thick or thin soil layers, the thicker layers allow for more extensive vegetation but may require an irrigation system.Studies have shown that green roofs can be economically beneficial in a number of ways, they provide insulation and also help cool the building in the summer. There are also the added environmental benefits of more vegetation.
